Hispanic and Youth Marketing Manager
Summary
Arizona United SC is seeking a professional, passionate, hard-working and dedicated sales person with the self-motivation and desire to start a solid career in the sports industry. The primary focus will be on selling Arizona United group tickets to organizations within the Phoenix Metropolitan area. This individual will also be responsible for selling Arizona United season tickets, mini plans, and other packages. Account Executives are provided with some leads, but are also responsible for seeking new business through web research, networking mixers, client referrals, cold-calling, etc.
This is an unpaid internship and is for college credit only. Proof that you are receiving credit is required.
Responsibilities
- Generate new group sales by targeting and developing relationships with Non Profits, Schools, Churches and other organizations within the Phoenix Metropolitan area
- Responsible for servicing, renewing, up-selling, and cross-selling current group accounts
- Proficient in all Arizona United SC packages including full season seats, partial plans, luxury seating, united for kids, and other special events
- Full participation in extensive inbound/outbound call campaigns including meeting large new outbound call requirements
- Maintain a minimum daily average of 80 outbound calls – volume maybe increased or decreased based upon the time of year and needs of the organization
- Generate maximum revenue using all sales methods including face-to-face appointments, stadium tours, territory prospecting, and networking
- Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals and activity requirements
- Service all clients in accordance with ticket sales department service guidelines
- Perform “game day” responsibilities, including entertaining clients and prospects, working ticket sales booths, and fulfillment of large group event partnerships
- Attend team, community, and other events for purpose of maximizing sales opportunities
- Assist with creative development for production of sales materials including flyers, brochures, and other support material
- Coordinate with other departments to organize events that generate group ticket sales
- Recording and reporting of sales functions to supervisor(s)
- Other duties as assigned by Manager of Ticket Sales and Service
Required Skills
- Highly motivated, naturally aggressive, with a positive attitude
- Sales experience preferred, sports sales experience a plus
- Exemplary self-discipline, professionalism, pride and work ethic
- Outstanding listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Committed to personal integrity and team oriented
- Detail oriented with ability to multi-task effectively and with a sense of urgency, sometimes under a high level of stress
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Creativity and ability to see ideas through to successful execution
- Enthusiasm for and/or experience in professional sports sales and/or service
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Compliance with organizational directives
- Flexible hours required: working evenings/nights, weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, sports, business, marketing or related field preferred
- Experience and training in Outbox, or other Customer Relations Management system preferred
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet use, and other basic computer usage
- Familiarity with basic tenets of sales and customer service, sports industry specific a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish. Ability to read and write proficiently in both languages

Marketing Intern
Summary
The Marketing Intern will assist the marketing, ticket operations, and game-day departments. He/she will serve as brand ambassadors, promotional staff, and entertainers at youth/adult soccer tournaments, community events, grassroots marketing across the Phoenix metropolitan, and gameday activities. This is a great way to gain valuable event and promotional marketing experience while working for a professional soccer club.

Required Skills & Responsibilities

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in busy environment
- Attention to detail a MUST
- Support additional digital staff members when requested
- Engage fans and be knowledgeable of Arizona United Soccer Club

Qualifications
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Evening and weekend hours will be required

Assistant Team Operation Coordinator
Summary
To assist in day-to-day operations of the team. Including before, during and after practice/games.
*This is an unpaid internship and can be used for college credit.
Required Skills & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of players arriving to the locker room
- Maintaining a high-level of cleanliness throughout the locker room and facility
- Assist in washing, drying, and organizing practice gear for players
- Assist in the organization of equipment before and after training
- Assist the trainer in any preparation he needs before/after practice and games
- Assist in any task the staff or players will need before training
- Weekly Tasks: Assisting in the preparation for home and away games
- Assisting in the organization of equipment for travel
- Recording and organizing any new gear that arrives to the facility
- Assisting with any pre or post-game tasks for home games
- Managing projects and communicating progress to staff
Expectations
The Assistant Operations Coordinator must have the ability to multitask at a high rate. As with the professional team, it is essential to be a team member. Many tasks include working in time sensitive situations. Tasks will be presented that need problem solving, critical thinking, the ability to work independently and the need to be flexible for the team and organization. Expectations include: working early mornings, nights and weekends when necessary and having a reliable mode of transportation. Working outside during practice and games. Upholding a strong public image and keeping all information private regarding team, front office, and organization.
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to participate in the following
- Attend all training sessions and games to the only professional soccer club in Arizona
- Be in constant communication with the professional technical staff, as well as players
- Have access to “behind the scenes”, day to day operations of Arizona United
