PEORIA, Ariz. (Monday, June 9, 2014) – The World Cup is the largest single-sport competition on the planet. To celebrate the upcoming tournament in Brazil, Arizona United Soccer Club is pleased to present the World Cup Road Show – a monthlong stretch of daily viewing parties that will be held at 10 different restaurant/bars in 13 locations in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

The participating restaurant/bars in the World Cup Road Show are: Thirsty Lion (Tempe), Four Peaks Brewing Company (Tempe and Scottsdale), Tim Finnegan’s (Phoenix), Fibber Magees (Chandler), Skeptical Chymist (Scottsdale), Draft House (Peoria), Tilted Kilt (Scottsdale and Paradise Valley), FilmBar (Phoenix), George & Dragon (Phoenix), and Zipps (Glendale and Old Town Scottsdale).

Commencing with a World Cup kickoff party on June 11 before Arizona United Soccer Club’s home USL PRO match against the Dayton Dutch Lions at 7:30 p.m. PST, the World Cup Road Show will spotlight a marquee game on World Cup match days. The Arizona United SC van will travel to a designated bar/restaurant and club personnel will host the event with prizes, giveaways and select player appearances.

Venues and dates have been set for all group-stage and knockout-round matches with the exception of the championship match, which will be announced at a later date.

Home dates for Arizona United SC during the World Cup are as follows: June 14 vs. Rochester Rhinos at 7 p.m. PST; June 18 vs. LA Galaxy (U.S. Open Cup, fourth round) 7:30 p.m. PST; June 21 vs. LA Galaxy II at 7 p.m. PST; June 28 vs. Orange County Blues FC at 7 p.m. PST.
